Offline raids and report rewards are now available in Escape from Tarkov: patch 0.14.9.5 released (1)

Battlestate Games studio has released update 0.14.9.5 for Escape from Tarkov. The developers have introduced offline raids into the game that work on the player’s PC: for now, only raids for players with access to PvE are calculated locally.

The patch also allowed adding items to favorites (categories will have to be created in advance), corrected the artificial intelligence of bots, introduced new tasks and additional sets for customization to Escape from Tarkov.

At the same time, the developers improved the physics of bodies and objects in offline raids, rebalanced an extensive list of optical sights and rifles, and adjusted the parameters of several skills.

Main changes of patch 0.14.9.5 for Escape from Tarkov

PVE ZONE offline single player

For all players with access to PVE ZONE, raids launched for a solo player will take place on a local computer. The gaming experience, as well as the operation of in-game mechanics, is completely identical to the online game. For group raids, raids for the Scav and raids on the Streets of Tarkov location, the use of the server is preserved.

Added Favorites mechanic

The player can add an item to one of several pre-created Favorites categories. Items added to Favorites are displayed in a separate section of the Directory; Favorite items have unique visual differences. When receiving such an item in various ways, the player can receive a corresponding notification. Players can customize the frequency of notifications in the game settings; A function has been added to automatically add items needed for the shelter to Favorites. Available modes of this function can be switched in the game settings; The list of favorite items is saved after a wipe. The list can be cleared in the game settings.

Added in-game surveys

Added a community survey system in the game. It is available in the ‘Surveys’ tab in the bottom menu; Completing surveys helps improve the quality of the game based on community feedback; Players can expect in-game rewards for completing surveys.

AI changes for PvE mode

PMC Bots now pick up items from the location, boxes and corpses. Bots try to choose more valuable loot. They can pick up, including in weapon and equipment slots, and if they find better equipment, they replace it; PMC bots can move around the entire map. They build routes to points of possible loot accumulation. Bots move in tactical mode. Upon reaching the point, they collect the loot, and then can wait for the enemy for some time, setting up an ambush; PMC bots now leave the location if they have collected enough loot or enough time has passed since the start of the raid; PMC bots now sprint more often when moving across open terrain; At the Epicenter location with a level limit of 20, PMC bots are also no more than level 20; Now all bots react to the enemy if information about him was received from any bot. For example, if a bot notices you and shouts, then all bots, regardless of faction, will hear this and decide to move in your direction, take cover, or behave differently;Regular bots now move around the entire map and look for valuable loot. Scavs are less picky about loot quality than PMC bots. Scavs move between points with possible loot in tactical mode if they are in a group; This is the first iteration of AI refinement within the PVE mode. In future updates, it is also planned to refine the tactical behavior of bots, as well as the system of interaction between bots of different factions. In future updates, the necessary mechanics will be transferred to the PvP mode.

New tasks

Added a ‘Nostalgia’ quest line about the game’s life path – only available to owners of the Edge of Darkness edition bonuses.Added a quest line for obtaining the Mark of the Unknown, which allows players with any edition to obtain the Mark of the Unknown in PVE.Added a quest line for obtaining Enlarged Pockets, which allows players with any edition to obtain Enlarged Pockets.

Customization

Added new equipment sets for USEC and BEAR, which can be purchased with the “Lega” Medal. Purchasing the sets requires a high relationship level with the Ref.

Added compensation for reports from players who violated game rules.

The player will receive compensation in game currency after a report that resulted in the offender being blocked; Compensation comes with a message about a successful report. Compensation for several successful reports is summed up.

Vapes PvE

The options for selecting a wipe mode in the profile on the site have been expanded. Personal wipe of PvE/PvP modes together and separately is available.
